Butterfly within

In a meadow where a catterpillar has been
the coccoon is empty that held the butterfly within
through an iron gate the tall grass wandered in
perception and awareness in the dandelion seeds came floating

And the clouds are transcendance as they shape across the sky
going nowhere really they leave nothing but the emptiness behind
and the struggle of the body is the evolution of the mind
going where it’s never been
the caterpillar dies to find the butterfly within

Depth and interiority where the center of the heart is
where the catepillar goes and where it’s been
when all thought is abandoned the transformation begins
but the way remains illusive until we find the butterfly within

You can have anything and everything and still might not be pleased
and thoughts can cost you only a breath is free
spend a moment there and you might find belief
all across the meadow theres a stirring breeze
an empty coccoon where the caterpillar has been
flys away when he finds the butterfly within
